Due to public opening hours, we ask groups to try to arrive by 10am.  You are welcome to bring a packed lunch to enjoy in our outdoor student picnic area. 

 

We are able to provide cookie trays as the Café is not available to student groups.  Please contact the Group visits Coordinator for more information.

 

The museum’s education programmes cover a number of subjects in the National Curriculum including:

 

·    History – Tudor times, British colonisation and trade, indigenous

·     peoples, expansion of the American West, world history

·    Art, Design and Technology – Understanding tools and how

·     people used them, effect of manufacture on everyday objects,

·     investigating styles and traditions in historical and cultural

·    English – Stories from other cultures, the making of myths

·    Maths – Patterns, sequence, tessellation, and symmetry

·    Citizenship – Becoming a responsible global citizen by learning

·     about, and understanding other cultures.
