Image Reproduction

If an image is to be reproduced, in any format, an application must be made in writing to:

Please include the following information;

· Which images you wish to use. Please include accession number,

· if known. If you do not know the accession number, please give a

· detailed description of the image.

· What media you wish to use it in (book/magazine/video/TV/website

· etc.).

· Where will it be distributed (UK only/worldwide etc.)?

· How many languages will it be published in?

· How many copies/transmissions do you need rights for?

· A detailed description of how you plan to use each image

· (size on page, location in publication etc).

We only allow the reproduction of images supplied by The American Museum in Britain. For details of image supply and reproduction costs, please click here.

Once we have received your application, an invoice for the licence (and image supply if applicable) will be sent to you. You will also be advised of any likely delay in supplying you with the images requested (for example, in the event of new photography having to be arranged).

We will send you the images and accompanying reproduction agreement once we have received payment.

Permission to reproduce is dependent on acceptance of the terms and conditions.
