Become a member of our US Friends

US Friends of the American Museum & Gardens aim to raise awareness of the Museum’s work, further cross-cultural exchange between the UK and the USA, which is at the heart of our mission, and play a key role in providing essential financial support for the museum. Our US Friends of the American Museum & Gardens membership programme, through the Halcyon Foundation, is a 501 (c)(3) registered charity which allows for tax deductions on gifts for US citizens and residents if made payable to the Halcyon Foundation.

Annual Friend benefits

• Free entry to the American Museum & Gardens, including special exhibitions

• Monthly bulletin and quarterly e-newsletter

• Exclusive member events and communities, including special tours

• Priority booking for public events 

• Friends at the Joint/Family level and above are enrolled in the Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM), which gives complimentary admission to more than 550 museums across the US – see participating museums. Upon presentation of a valid membership card while visiting one of the museums listed, you are entitled to the following privileges:

  • Free admission during regular museum hours

  • A discount on purchases in the art and bookshops at participating museums

  • Ticketed exhibitions and special events are not included and may carry an admission fee

• Friends at the Patron level also have the opportunity to host clients/friends in our unique historic venue with 20% discount, plus more

In addition, the US Friends of the American Museum & Gardens host a variety of activities in the United States each year that relate to the museum’s collections, the decorative arts, and Anglo-American relations including: lectures, theatre events, insider tours, workshops, and behind-the-scenes talks as well as trips abroad.
