Opening times
The American Museum & Gardens is now temporarily closed for the season, until 14 February 2026. We look forward to welcoming you again soon.
We are open Tuesday to Sunday each week from mid-February to the start of the January term for Bath & North East Somerset schools (3 January in 2027). We are also open on Bank Holidays and Mondays during Bath & North East Somerset school holidays. We are closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day.
The specific opening times for different parts of our site are:
14 February – 1 November 2026
Car park, Exhibition Gallery, Gardens, Gallery Shop: 10am–5pm (last entry 4.30pm)
American Garden Deli: 10am–4.30pm
Museum: 11am–4pm (last entry 3pm)
3 November 2026 – 3 January 2027

Admission
Day admission tickets give entry to the museum, exhibition gallery, gardens, deli and gallery shop. Tickets can be booked in person at the ticket office and online. Alternatively, our great value annual membership gives unlimited free entry to the site when we are open, plus many more special benefits.
Parking
Our car park is free for members and visitors who are visiting the American Museum & Gardens only.

*Ticket prices include a voluntary donation of 10%. Online ticket purchases all include this voluntary donation with an option to choose Gift Aid. If you would like to purchase admission tickets without giving a donation, then you can of course do this, please ask in the Ticket Office on arrival.
If you are a UK tax payer, by making a 10% or more voluntary donation and saying yes to Gift Aid you are supporting our charity even further as this enables us to reclaim the tax of 25% on the whole amount paid. So for example, by paying the donation price of £17 on an adult ticket, as a charity we will actually receive a total of £21.25

If you are a UK taxpayer please Gift Aid your membership. There is no additional cost to you on a membership as the whole amount is considered a donation. So for example, if you pay £40 for an individual membership and say yes to Gift Aid we will actually receive a total of £50. Gift Aid income from all our supporters is a significant boost to our charities income and help us to keep the American Museum & Gardens open for all to enjoy. Thank you.

If you would like to take advantage of one of these discounts on your tickets, please purchase in person at the ticket office. Please bring the relevant discount card, voucher, ID or membership card with you.

Free garden entry (member 1 only for joint memberships) applies Wednesdays and Thursdays between 14 February – 30 June and 1 September – 31 December when open. Between 1 July – 31 August discounted ticket prices only applies on Thursdays. Bring your RHS membership card to receive this discount.
