Join us for a fascinating audience with the award-winning author of Orbital: A Novel – Samantha Harvey. Samantha will be discussing her book on stage with Professor in English Literature at Bath Spa University, Ian Gadd, reading extracts and answering questions from the audience. This event is tied to our special exhibition Beyond Infinity: American Space Exploration

About Samantha Harvey

Samantha Harvey is the author of five novels, The Wilderness, All Is Song, Dear Thief , The Western Wind and Orbital. She is also the author of a memoir, The Shapeless Unease. Her novels have been shortlisted for various prizes including the Orange Prize for Fiction, the Guardian First Book Award, the Walter Scott Prize, the James Tait Black Prize and the Orwell Prize for Political Fiction. Orbital won the InWords Literary Award 2024, the 2024 Hawthornden Prize for Literature and the 2024 Booker Prize. She is a Reader in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University.

  • Doors will open at 6pm with drinks for sale at our bar.  

  • The event will begin at 7pm and is due to end by 8pm. 

  • We are pleased to offer free parking. If the main car park is full, please follow our signs to the additional parking, just a short distance up Claverton Hill from the main car park.  

  • On arrival, please check in with the Ticket Office team who will give you more information about your visit. 

  • Please be aware that we are unable to provide a refund unless the event is cancelled. 

  • Please note we are a completely non-smoking site.
