Festive Weekend

Festive Weekend

13–14 December | 10am–5pm

Be enchanted by the wonderful artisan Christmas decorations inside our Georgian Manor House, including a spectacular 17-foot Nordmann fir tree from Langford Lakes in Somerset. All our Christmas decorations are made by our incredibly talented community of volunteers, who have created hundreds of ornaments around the Museum’s 2025 theme of exploration.

Listen to the Courage Singers choir live and enjoy festive storytelling and activities, and treats in the deli. It’s your last chance to see the Beyond Infinity space exhibition, which is open until 4 January 2026. At this time of year, the gardens are full of frosty seed heads and frothy grasses, set against misty valley views – a lovely setting for a wellbeing walk.

  • The exhibition, gardens, deli, creative activities and gift shop are open from 10am–5pm

  • The Manor House is open 11am–4pm every day (last entrance at 3pm)

  • Choir performances by the Courage Singers choir are at 12pm and 2.30pm in Central Hall

  • Creative activities are available to enjoy all weekend in the Coach House

  • Festive storytelling is at 11am and 12.30pm on Saturday and Sunday in the Stables
