Rainbow Family Community Day
14 June | 10am – 5pm
The American Museum & Gardens is delighted to open our doors to welcome all to enjoy our extensive estate with spectacular views as part of Queer Bath 2026: A Citywide Celebration of LGBTQ+ Arts, Culture & Heritage.
Our Rainbow Family Community Day is a pay-what-you can day, make a donation instead of buying our normal admission tickets, with our usual free parking. Explore the spring gardens, woodland walk or parkland and enjoy the children’s climb-and-slide play area. Follow Charlie the Chipmunk on a museum adventure, explore our outdoor kids zone and join in the creative activities in the Coach House. Bring a picnic or treat yourself in the American Garden Deli.
This year, we’re pleased to be partnering with Space, an LGBTQ+ youth group delivered as part of Off the Record’s LGBTQ+ service. The Space team will host an interactive stall where young people can discover support services, take part in creative activities, and access a dedicated breakout room if they need a quieter space during the day.
Families are warmly encouraged to come along together. Parents and carers can connect with others, learn more about support available for LGBTQ+ young people, and help their teens meet and build community with others in a welcoming, inclusive environment.
We look forward to having a wonderful day with you!
Tickets
This event day is a fundraiser for the American Museum & Gardens to support our work as a charity with no government funding. On the day of the event, you will be able to donate to enter the site on a pay-what-you-feel basis, based on what you feel it is worth. We ask that you give generously, but if you can’t afford to that’s fine too.
