Autumn/Winter Textile Tours
Selected days | 11am and 2pm
If you have a fascination for fabrics, then this specialised guided tour will be just the thing to enhance your visit.
The American Museum houses a world-famous collection of textiles, embroideries, weavings and prints, including a collection of over 200 historic quilts and rugs.
Join one of our experienced guides who will take you through our period rooms in the Manor House and show you a wide variety of pieces in our collection. You will learn about different techniques used and the social importance of quilting.
The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and tickets are £6.50 per person. As part of your visit you can also visit our Textile Room which houses the permanent collection of quilts and textiles.

If you are a member, please log in with your member ID or email on the ticket page. If you are not a member, please note you will need to purchase an admission ticket to the American Museum & Gardens as well as an event ticket.

Things you need to know
The tour begins at 11am or 2pm, depending on the timeslot you have booked, and will last about an hour.
On arrival, please check in with the Ticket Office who will give you more information about your visit. Please arrive at least 10 minutes ahead of the start time to check in.
If you are not a member, please purchase an admission ticket, which includes the gardens, museum, exhibition, deli café and shop, in addition to your event ticket.
We are pleased to offer free parking. If the main car park is full, please follow our signs to the additional parking, just a short distance up Claverton Hill from the main car park.
Please be aware that we are unable to provide a refund unless we close the American Museum & Gardens due to unforeseen circumstances or cancel the event ourselves.
Please also note that we are a completely non-smoking site.
