Join the Friends of the American Museum & Gardens in New York City this autumn for a very special evening to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Museum with internationally acclaimed artist, designer and long-time Museum friend Kaffe Fassett.
An American-born, British-based artist, Kaffe is renowned worldwide for his bold use of colour across quilting, textiles, knitting, needlepoint, mosaics and painting. In this special anniversary lecture, he will reflect on his extraordinary creative career, sharing work from his latest projects and collaborations, while offering insights into the inspiration behind his celebrated designs.
Kaffe will also discuss his newest publication, Quilts at an English Manor House, and his longstanding relationship with the American Museum & Gardens. A long-time friend of the Museum's founder, Dallas Pratt, Kaffe has exhibited at the Museum on several occasions and most recently wrote the foreword to the Museum's publication, Quilts at the American Museum & Gardens.
Following the lecture, guests are invited to continue the celebrations with an optional anniversary dinner, offering the opportunity to mark this milestone year in the company of fellow supporters and friends of the Museum.
