Textile Tour
In partnership with Selvedge’s London Textile Month
As part of London Textile Month, join one of our textile specialists for an exclusive guided tour of the American Museum & Gardens' internationally renowned textile collection.
Home to more than 200 historic quilts and rugs dating from the eighteenth to the mid-twentieth century, the collection features an extraordinary range of textiles, from whole-cloth and appliquéd quilts to Hawaiian, Amish and the celebrated quilts of Gee's Bend.
Discover the stories behind these remarkable works as you explore textiles displayed throughout the museum's beautifully furnished period rooms. Along the way, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship, techniques and social histories woven into every piece.
Following the tour, enjoy a traditional cream tea in the American Garden Deli, overlooking the gardens and the Cotswold landscape beyond. Your ticket also includes admission to the museum, gardens and exhibitions, giving you time to explore our collections and 125 acres of gardens at your own pace.
